2008 Rakuten Golden Eagles Fan Club Details

My GF attended this year's Fan Appreciation day for the Eagles and managed to pick up a pamphlet for how to become a member of their Fan Club for the next baseball season. Below are scanned images of the pamphlet, along with captions to describe what each of the sections are about.


There are a total of 5 tiers in their Fan Club: Booster Club; Gold Club; Mr. Karasco Club; Regular Club; and Kid's Club. Being a member entitles your to certain perks like limited edition Rakuten merchandise, admission to special events, and special ticket reservations.


Every tier includes 6 basic services. These services include 1) commerative game badges, 2) priority arrangements for the 2008 Fan Appreciation Day, 3) discounts on minor league games, 4) a membership card, 5) the official Fan Club Book, and 6) e-mail updates regarding upcoming games and special events.


Fan Club members will also have access to Fan Club day where special events are planned.


Booster Club: one year membership costs roughly $1000 and there are only 1,000 spots available. Booster Club members are entitled to 1) autographed baseball cards (looks like you get two), 2) original pro model uniform 3) limited edition Takeshi Yamasaki and Masahiro Tanaka uniform baseball cards, 4) limited edition commerative Takeshi Yamasaki and Masahiro Tanaka pin badges, 5) special seating during pre-game batting practice, 6) entrance to the Eagle's Nets, 7) 10% off on all official Eagles merchandise, and 8) your name on a board as a verified Booster Club member. Booster Club members will also receive the following additional services: 9) advanced ticket ordering and reservations, 10) the option to pick your seats, 11) the option to reserve box and pair seats, 12) the option to reserve a parking space for your car, and 13) access to the Club Member's Desk.


Gold Club: one year membership costs roughly $100. Gold Club members are entitled to 1) a special edition fan club bag, 2) original pro model uniform, and 3) a limited edition commerative Takeshi Yamasaki pin badge. Gold Club members also receive the additional services: 4) advanced ticket ordering and reservations, 5) the option to pick your seats, 6) the option to reserve box and pair seats, and 7) the option to reserve a parking space for your car.

Mr. Karasco Club: one year membership costs roughly $100 and there are only 3,000 spots available. Mr Karasco Club members are entitled to the Mr. Karasco vs. Osaka Pro Wrestling Fighting Kit. The Kit includes a Super Vibrating Ring and 4 figures (including Mr. Karasco). Mr. Karasco Club members also receive the additional services: 2) advanced ticket ordering and reservations, 3) the option to pick your seats, 4) the option to reserve box and pair seats, and 5) the option to reserve a parking space for your car.


Regular Club: one year membership costs roughly $35. Regular Club members are entitled to 1) a pin badge collection folder, and 2) a limited edition commerative Masahiro Tanaka pin badge. Regular Club members also recive the additional services: 3) advanced ticket ordering and reservations, and 4) the option to pick your seats.

Kids Club: one year membership costs roughly $10 and is limited to children in middle school or lower. Kids Club members are entitled to 1) an original Eagles glove, and 2) 2 tickets for admission on to the field after the game.

    I’m certainly going to try. I mean, I’m here, may as well take advantage.

    I’m not really sure how many people actually follow (or have interest in) baseball in Japan, but I actually enjoy writing about it — even if you might be the only one reading these entries.
