The Swallows are playing pretty well in October so far. They have outscored their opponents, 45-21 over there last 7 games (including tonight's) and have gone 4-2-1 during that span.

The offense ran on all cylinders today for the Swallows. They sent 9 batters to the plate in the 7th and 11 players to plate in the 8th. In just those two innings, the Swallows went 10-for-17 with 2 walks, an hbp, a triple, a homerun and scored 12 runs. Hiroyasu Tanaka drove in runs in both of those innings and ended the game 3-for-5 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 rbis. Ryohei Kawamoto had three plate appearances over those two innings, ultimately finishing 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored, an rbi, and an hbp.

NOTES: Norichika Aoki went 2-for-4 and is now batting .355. ... The 17 runs the Swallows scored was a team high this season. The 17 runs given up the Dragons was also a team high for the season.

Gen, are the team stats available anywhere that you know of? I’ve searched for them, but I can’t seem to find them in English. Even japanbaseball.com, which does a decent job with individual stats, doesn’t have them. It would be helpful to gauge how the teams stack up against each other in a few of the more important ones. It’s not overly important, but maybe after the season if you could put a few of them up.

The Swallows’ good offensive game got me wondering how they compare with the rest of the league.

Please don’t go to a lot of trouble. It might be better to wait until after the season is over anyways.
