Kansai Independent League

by on Nov.17, 2008 @ 8:00 pm, under Independent

I thought I'd throw up a brief post on the newly formed Kansai Independent League.

Former Shikoku Kyushi Island League commissioner Hiromichi Ishige came up with the idea for the new league and a company named Stella was brought in for some financial backing (Stella is an internet media firm located in Osaka). Ishige was also named the Kansai Independent League commissioner.

Kansai Independent League is currently a 4-team league with 20-man rosters with a 72 game season. Depending on the how things work out, the goal is to set up 2 teams in Osaka and then expand out into Kyoto and Nara. The hope is to have 8 teams up and running at some point in the future.
