Sponichi: The Lotte Marines continue to express interested in Tadahito Iguchi. "I'd like to also return to the US to bring up my kids a little longer. ... But if I feel that a Japanese team is showing me that they need me more, then I'll consider returning to Japan as well," said Iguchi.
The two sides are set to meet on the 7th.
Sponichi: According to current reports, the new Hiroshima Carp uniforms are selling extremely well amongst fans. The uniforms are all custom made and an increase in orders means that shipments might be delayed. Along with the uniforms, the traditional fundoshi, work gloves, and eco-friendly bags are available for order. The team merchandise catalog has increased from 36 to 44 pages.
A quick look at their online shop reveals the replica uniforms to be out of order.
Sanspo: Shinosuke Abe's goal for 2009 is to avoid injuries.

Interesting that the replica uniform still has the pinstripes.
Speaking of the Marines, I meant to mention to you that ESPN Classic aired the ‘The Zen of Bobby Valentine’ on Christmas day. It was released last May, but this was the first time I’ve gotten a chance to see it. I thought it was very well done.
There’s this page for the pro-model unis too.
Wonder if they’ll air ‘The Zen of Bobby Valentine’ over here in Japan. I really want to see it.
