NPB Roundup 1/6: Murata gets 100M yen raise

Sanspo: Yokohama Bay Stars third baseman Shuichi Murata will be making 260M yen this season, an increase in 100M yen from last season.

Sanspo: A raise simply wasn't in the cards for Takayuki Kishi. After turning down the Seibu Lions on two prior ocassions, Kishi finally agreed to a 39M yen raise, making his 2009 salary 75M yen.

Sanspo: The Hiroshima Carp have re-signed Ben Kozlowski to a 1 year deal worth 14M yen.

Sponichi: The Yokohama Bay Stars have apparently signed Ryan Glynn to a 1-year deal worth 84M yen.

    The Uehara signing really comes as something of a surprise. I don’t think there was much of any news about him the last week or so and then suddenly… Uehara’s camp must have been keeping a tight lid on things.
