I just got back in and turned the TV on. The game is currently in the bottom of the 4th. I'll pick up the play-by-play from there.

Hisashi Iwakuma was the starter for Samurai Japan; John Wasdin for the Lions.

HR: Ohsaki
2B: Ginjiro, Goto, Sato

2B: Aoki, Inaba, Ogasawara

Post game notes: Samurai Japan looked a little flat on the field. I don't know if they've been working to hard, or if they just weren't prepared for the Lions.

Komatsu was simply awful in his outing tonight. He walked a hitter and then hit a batter. The last pitch he threw was over Takayama head. Komtasu looked really lost out there.

Ichiro finished the game 0-for-4; Inaba went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk; Aoki, 1-for-4 with a double and 2 strike outs.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this Gen.

The new Seibu Lions unis aren’t very flattering. The numbers on the back look a little small too. Not sure if I really like them either.

The light blues were so iconic that I think it’s going to take time to get used to the new ones. But, if you can’t see the numbers well on television, that’s not a good sign.

It’s not so much that the numbers aren’t visible on TV. They just seem a bit small in comparison to the amount of space that’s available. Seems to me like they could have made the numbers a little larger, and perhaps in bold.

…But now that I’m looking at a still image of the uniform from the game, it doesn’t look all that bad.
