NPB: Matsunaka gets his 1,500th hit off Yamamoto; Inaba hits his 300th career double

...Atsunori Inaba smacked his 300th double of his career in the 3rd inning off Brian Sweeney.

RAKUTEN EAGLES

...Yosuke Takasu suffered a fairly severe sprained left ankle when he crashed into Teppei Tsuchiya in the third while trying to catch a pop-fly. His status is still uncertain, but he will most likely miss some time.

SEIBU LIONS

...The Lions are now 1-9 in games that Hideaki Wakui and Takayuki Kishi don't start.

SOFTBANK HAWKS

...Nobuhiko Matsunaka recorded his 1,500th hit off Shogo Yamamoto in the 6th. He is the 100th NPB player to reach that milestone, and second to do it this season -- Kazuya Fukuura (LOT) recorded his 1,500th hit on May 2nd.

OTHER

...45-year-old Pacific League ump Minoru Nakamura worked in his 2,000th game. He joins 26 other umps that have reached that milestone.
