NIPPON HAM FIGHTERS

...Katsuya Nomura's comments after yesterday's victory:
Your thoughts on the Lions
Looks like their offense is struggling a bit right now. Okawari-kun (Nakamura) looks like the only guy that's hitting right now. They also have guys that like to hit against us, like Hirao.
On Hasebe getting to the 8th with only an earned run
Can't really complement him too much without any restraint. We gave him all these runs and he couldn't just pitch a complete game? I feel like punching him.
On Takasu's injuries
It looks pretty bad. It's serious. I wonder who called for it. I don't think anyone called for it, and that's why Teppei went after it. Takasu isn't really vocal. That was a preventable injury.
On the possibility of Takasu being removed from the active roster
That's probably what's going to happen. He is a regular, so losing him is going to hurt. Moving Kusano to second will be a little difficult, so Uchimura or Kosaka will probably start at second. I'm glad we spent time bring Uchimura up last season. Being ready for times like this is really important.
On the offense that continues to hit
Takeshi Yamasaki has really done a great job hitting in the 4 hole over the last 9 games. The ace Iwakuma has been big to. If he would get a little more excited, the team might come together a little more.
On needing one more win to pull even in career managerial wins and losses
The magic number to .500 is 1. But that really doesn't matter until I retire.
