...Shinya Sakai (owner of the Tigers) has given his team the "go" sign to find a foreign player to help give the team an offensive boost after having a meeting to discuss potential candidates. The list is said to contain 6 names, including Tyrone Woods, Julio Zuleta, and Craig Brazell (the leading candidate).
But this report by Sports Hochi takes things a step further by stating the team may begin negotiations with Brazell as early as the 22nd. The report also mentions a AAA player (no name) as a secondary possibility.
...The Lions also appear to be looking for a new foreigner to inject some life into the team. The team has been going over scouting reports / video on a number of players, with a focus on pitching. It would appear that they may be close to a decision.
...The Yakult Swallows are looking for 10 "office ladies" (OL) to help them create promotions that would attract more women to the stadium. The 10 women will be asked to join in on 5 meetings to discuss various project possibilities and all of that will ultimately culminate in an "OL Nighter" where the team hopes to fill the first base side with women during a Dragons game on August 28th.

YOKOHAMA BAY STARS
...Toshihisa Nishi may be called back to the parent club as early as the 30th of this month. The team is hoping that Nishi will stick around past this season and would like for him to help groom some of the younger players.
...The Giants announced that they will be wearing throwback uniforms from 1936 during a 3-game series against the Yokohama Bay Stars starting on July 7th.
I tried to find an image of the uniform, but this was the best I could do... I did manage to find commemorative pin badge that was handed out to fans during a game in 2007.
1936 Tokyo Giants
The 1936 uniforms marked the first time in team history that the letters "Giants" appeared on a uniform. The 1936 team included players such a Eiji Sawamura and Victor Starfin.
...The CL and PL have been handing out materials on the Swine Flu to all working members (umpires, score keepers). The materials cover everything from various measures on how to avoid the flu, locations of emergency treatment facilities, and what to do in case someone gets the flu.
...40-year-old Shingo Takatsu attended a try-out for the Giants and Diamondbacks on Wednesday. He tossed 46 pitches in all and topped out at 86mph.
