...Sho Nakata's days in Ichi-gun days may be numbered. With Inter-league play nearing it's end, the current 4-man rotation the Fighters are using will likely expand, meaning one or more position players may be sent down for some arms.

...Osamu Yonemura was officially announced as an Ichi-gun training coach on Friday.

...More details on Kazuo Fukumori have emerged: the Eagles have signed Fukumori to a one year deal worth 15M yen and has been assigned the number 62.

...Takeya Nakamura hit his league-leading 20th home run against the Yokohama Bay Stars on Friday night. Nakamura hit number 20 twenty games quicker than last season when he finished the year with 46 home runs.

...Think you know the NPB? Well then why not give this new game by the NPB a try?

Pick the winners each day to accumulate points. The more points you get, the better chances you have at winning an autographed baseball.

There will be 5 periods of play from now until the end of the season. And there will be a total of 12 winners from each period (or 60 winners in all). The 12 winners will be picked from a pool of the top 20 point-getters at the end of each period.

1 correct guess will earn you 1 point; 2 correct guesses, 3 points; 3 correct guesses, 5 points; 4 correct guesses, 10 points; 5 correct guesses, 30 points; and 6 correct guesses, 100 points.

BTW: There's also a flash home run derby game you can play over here.

...The Kansai Independent Leagues announced that the Kobe 9 Cruise vs. the Osaka Gold Villicanes games on June 28th will be free to the public. The game will take place at Suminoe Park Baseball Stadium.

Health food company (and sponsor) Jintan will also be at the game displaying and selling their products. There will also be an interview with Eri Yoshida after the game.
