Phillips’ offensive line at two AAA stops this season was .300/.349/.433. Where do the Carp plan to use him primarily?

That’s a good question. I can’t imagine Kurihara (1B) and Higashide (2B) moving. Soyogi has been struggling (.234/.303/.317), so SS could be an option. Scott Seabol and Scott McClain have been playing third, but neither have been very good on offense (.216/.281/.352 and .216/.300/.345 respectively), so third could also be an option.

I don’t think he’s ever played shortstop, even at the minor league level, so that could be fun. It sounds like your idea that he’s going to take playing time from McClain and Seabol makes the most sense.
