...According to Sanspo, the Buffaloes won their first game off Masahiro Tanaka on Friday night (to the tune of 3-1) since April of 2007.

YAKULT SWALLOWS

...Shohei Tateyama's 14-game winning streak came to a tumbling halt against the Yomiuri Giants on Friday night as he surrendered 7 runs (6 earned) over 6 innings.

YOKOHAMA BAY STARS

...Tensions are really starting ride pretty high in Yokohama. Bay Stars manager Tomio Tashiro was quoted as saying "I've been pretty patient up to now, but I also have a limit too."

When asked about possibly removing Les Walrond from the rotation, Tashiro said, "I have no one else. At this point, all we can do is wait until the yongsters as Ni-gun develop."

YOMIURI GIANTS
