NPB: Katsuya Nomura post-game comments from 7/2/2009

Some comments from Katsuya Nomura after his team dropped it's third straight against the Nippon Ham Fighters.

The problem is the level of play is just too low. So low that it isn't even worth talking about. This team isn't anywhere near the pro Ichi-gun level. Our team... [The Fighters] took back those three games we won to start the season.

What's even more irritating was when had a lead in the top of the 8th and no one was warming in the pen. Can you believe that?! Do I have to hold their hand every step of the way? The coaches aren't doing their jobs.

Darvish (7 IP, 9 H, 7 K, BB, HBP, R, ER) didn't have his best stuff...
Especially in the first half. You need to score runs when you can.

Thoughts on Linden (2-for-5, 2B, 2 K)...
If he can get used to the differences in the strike zone, I think he'll do just fine.

Kawaii (4 IP, 1 H, 5 K, BB, 0 R) pitched well...
The one pitcher that did well. He might get a start at some point in the near future.
