Yu Darvish had his right shoulder checked out on Saturday and was diagnosed with a bruise in the middle area of his right deltoid muscle (右三角筋中央部の打撲).

"There was some internal bleeding," said the chief trainer. "But it appeared to have gotten all muscle because we didn't see any problems with the underlying bone. We'll wait for the pain to go away before we start things back up again."

Incidentally, this isn't the first time Darvish had difficulties during an All-Star game. Although he tossed 2 innings last season, he suffered a bloody nose at the tail end of his outing. Some papers are calling it the All-Star Game Curse.

Shinya Miyamoto hit his first ASG home run in his 5th appearance.
