Chiba Lotte Marines

...The Marines topped 1 million fans on Sunday after 24,349 showed up to watch them play the Rakuten Eagles. They reached the milestone on their 48th home date, 1 day later than last season.

Hanshin Tigers

...Norihiro Akahoshi injured his left knee in last night's game against the Yomiuri Giants when he came into contact with Shinnosuke Abe while trying to score in the first. Akahoshi had to be helped off the field and was taken to a hospital.

Seibu Lions

...Lions' manager Hisanobu Watanabe celebrated his 44th birthday on Sunday with a 6-5 loss to the Orix Buffaloes in extra innings.

...Takeya Nakamura hit 3 doubles in one game on Saturday against the Orix Buffaloes for the first time in his pro career.

Yakult Swallows

...And now for something completely useless: Ryota Igarashi apparently has Woodie and Jessie figures from Toy Story on his dashboard. He apparently purchased them from a story in Okinawa.

...Here are more numbers from Jamie D'Antona's torrid July (it's one of the reasons why he's batting in the .300s now):

32-for-77 (.416 BA), 6 HR, 25 RBI

Yomiuri Giants

...Marc Kroon picked up a save against the Hanshin Tigers on Saturday. It was his first save since June 7th.

...Seung-Yeop Lee will likely be removed from the active roster on Monday due to lower back pains.
