Sponichi is reporting that the Yokohama Bay Stars may be interested in taking a risk on Hideki Irabu. The Bay Stars need arms to eat up innings and if Irabu is as healthy as he claims, he could be an interesting option for the team next season.
A club rep said, "Kudo is 46 and he's doing a pretty good job throwing for us, so I don't think age is really a concern. Irabu has experience and we're interested in seeing what he's got left in the tank."
If the team ends up liking what they see, they could invite Irabu to a try-out during the off-season.
