Around the NPB Horn: Japan-Korea Championship in November?

Hanshin Tigers

...Craig Brazell was taken to the hospital after being taken out of Wednesday's game against the Yakult Swallows. Brazell may have injured the shoulder back on the 16th when he dove into the "excite seats" down the first base line to catch a foul ball in the 8th inning.

Needless to say, the team is very concerned about Brazell's status.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Yu Darvish is fine and will be making his scheduled start on Friday against the Softbank Hawks.

...NPB Commissioner Ryozo Kato said that he had no plans to implement any countermeasures for the Nippon Ham Fighters.

Yakult Swallows

...The Swallows announced on the 19th that the Guinness Book of World Records certificate they received, for most consecutive hits without an out (11) set on June 14th against the Orix Buffaloes, will be on display at Jingu Stadium between the 21st and 30th.

Yomiuri Giants

...Yoshinobu Takahashi could join the parent club as early as the 25th when the Giants head to the Nagoya Dome to play the Chunichi Dragons (he'll likely make 2 more starts at Ni-gun on the 22nd and 23rd against Ni-gun Chunichi at Aichi).

...It appears likely that there will be a Japan-Korea Championship in November.
