Chiba Lotte Marines
...The Marines won a game with 1 hit (a home run) on Wednesday night against the Softbank Hawks for the first time in the Pacific League since April 12, 1991 when the Nippon Ham Fighters beat the Orix Buffaloes with a solo homer by Fujio Tamura. The feat has only been accomplished four other times in league history (10 times if you include games that were won by a non-home run hit).
Incidentally, it was also Toshiaki Imae's birthday (he was the one that hit the home-run).
...Tadahito Iguchi appeared in his 1,000th NPB game on Wednesday night. He joins 432 other players that have also accomplished the feat.
...Craig Brazell hit 2 home runs in the 5th innings. But perhaps more importantly, he also found out that he was the father of a bouncing baby boy after launching his first homer.
The last time a Tiger hit 2 homers in the same inning was Masayuki Kakefu back on August 24th, 1982. The last foreigner to do it was Willie Kirkland in 1969. Brazell is the 4th Tiger to accomplish the feat (10th within the Central League).

Nakamura was informed at a hospital that it will take at least another 4-5 days before the inflammation goes away. The team originally thought his injury wouldn't require a stint off the active roster.
