Hey, the new blog look is great!

But Gen, there is no DH in the Central League. They penciled in Saeki as the cleanup 4th batter for the first time in three years. Saeki used to be the cleanup batter for Yokohama for a while until he got ousted by some young hotshot kid named Shuichi Murata in 2007. One of my old old Saeki pins actually has “Hama no yon-ban” as his title… now I think he’s ended up as “Hama no aniki” or even oyaji, perhaps, and my 2008 Murata pin has “hama no yon-ban” :)

Hmmm. And on another note, I find it amusing that Kazumi Saitoh is still technically the senshu-kaicho for the Hawks given that he hasn’t done anything in like, two years. (I’d given up on reading his blog because it was mostly “I’m in Arizona! I’m ganbatteing!”)

heh… What I meant to say was cleanup hitter. I tend to think of cleanup hitters as being DHs (it’s a bad habit that carried over from being a fan of the NY Yanks) and it was late so…

In any case, thanks for pointing out the typo.
