Hanshin Tigers

...Kenta Abe will likely be demoted to Ni-gun after surrendering 2 walks to the only 2 batters he faced in his appearance Tuesday night against the Yakult Swallows. Abe also had a rough start against the Yomiuri Giants on 8/29 that saw him give up 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits (including 2 homers), 1 strike out and 2 walks over 3 innings of work.

...Shinobu Fukuhara will likely join the active roster today.  Fukuhara could make a start on the 5th against the Hiroshima Carp at Mazda Stadium. In his last Ni-gun start, he went 6 innings while giving up 2 runs on 7 hits and struck out 5.

...Kentaro Sekimoto is set to appear in a Ni-gun game today. It will be the first game he has played in since July 31st. He will likely play about 5 innings and be removed. Sekimoto spent 5 hours working out yesterday at the Naruohama training grounds.

Also from the same article, Ikketsu Sho, after taking it easy with tightness in his back since 8/14, is set to make a 2 inning appearance in an intra-squad game on the 9/3.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Keisaku Itokazu and Ryo Sakakibara will likely be demoted to Ni-gun after their performances in Tuesday night's game.  Itokazu gave up 6 runs (all earned) in 4+ innings of work while Sakakibara gave up 3 (all earned) over 2 innings of work.
