Chiba Lotte Marines

...Hiroyuki Kobayashi rejoined the team today for a quick game of catch (about an hour).  He will restart his practice activities on the 12th with the Ni-gun team and work towards a possible Ichi-gun start against the Softbank Hawks on the 21st.

Kobayashi was removed from the active roster on 9/9 with the flu.

Hanshin Tigers

...The Tigers will be sending Ken Nishimura to the Arizona Fall League.  A number of other teams, including the Yomiuri Giants, will also be sending players to the AFL this off-season.

...Shuta Tanaka will be retiring after the end of the season. Tanaka says that he already decided in his mind that if he didn't do well this season, he would retire.

...Craig Brazell hit off a batting tee, played catch, and lightly ran five 50m dashes.  Based on his current progress, there is a chance that he might be able to make a return to the parent club on the 17th.

...Yamato and Taichi Okazaki will likely be added to the active roster today.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...The Fighters will likely go with Yu Darvish in the first game of the Climax Series.

Softbank Hawks

...Nobuhiro Matsuda rejoined the parent club and could be added to the active roster in time to play in tonight's game against the Orix Buffaloes.  Matsuda factured his right wrist in a game against the Chiba Lotte Marines on July 18th.  While at Ni-gun, he did 500 sit-ups to stay in shape.

Yokohama Bay Stars

...Toshihisa Nishi said that he will expand his net to the Majors as well.  Good luck with that.

...Tom Mastny may have pitched himself off the Bay Stars.  A team rep said, "We gave him a number of chances but he couldn't come through for us.  I don't know if we can really afford to give him any more chances moving forward."

Yomiuri Giants

...Seth Greisinger will be getting his right shoulder checked out at a hospital at some point today.  He did join the team in practice on Monday, but will get the shoulder examined just in case.

...Wirfin Obispo will likely make a start for the Giants in a game against the Hanshin Tigers on the 17th.  In preparation for that start, Obispo held a 45-pitch bullpen session on Monday.
