...Tadahito Iguchi was held out of the starting line-up due to pain in his left wrist.

Iguchi was hit by a pitch on his left wrist during Wednesday night's game against the Lions.

Chunichi Dragons

...The Dragons have clinched a spot to the Climax Series.

...Masahiko Morino drove in his 100th run of the year during last night's game against the Hiroshima Carp.

Morino reaches 100 RBIs for the first time in his career.

Orix Buffaloes

...Tuffy Rhodes was held out of the starting line-up because he wasn't feeling well.  He was sent to the hospital prior to the game and his tests for the flu virus came back negative.

Rhodes later returned to the team and entered Thursday night's game as a pinch hitter in the 9th.

Yokohama Bay Stars

...Tomio Tashiro has agreed to return to the Bay Stars as their Ni-gun manager next season.

Yomiuri Giants

...The Giants opened a new training facility at their Kawasaki training grounds on Thursday.

Compared to other indoor training facilities that other teams use, the new facility in Kawasaki is reportedly much larger: it sports a square field that measures 52m on the sides, 6 pitching mounds, 4 batting cages, and a covered area that could be used for running 60m dashes during rainy weather.

The new facility set the Giants' back 1.3B yen.

Not included in the article, but mentioned on TV, the sidewalk leading up to the facility and the training field now also includes palm prints and signature of over 100 Giants' players.
