The Bay Stars got another solid start out of the Stephen Randolph as they beat the Dragons, 5-2.

On a night Masahiro Tanaka wasn't very effective, the offense provided the boost to help the Eagles beat the Marines, 9-5.
A 2-run double by Masato Nakamura (1-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) in the bottom of the 2nd with runners on second and third and 1 out gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Kazuyuki Hoashi tossed a complete game shut-out and beat the Hawks, 6-0.
Hoashi scattered just 4 hits over 9 innings of work and really only struggled in the first when he gave up back-to-back 2-out singles to put runners on first and second and threw wild pitch that advanced both runners up a base to second and third. But he still managed to get out of the inning by getting Hitoshi Tamura (1-for-3) to ground out to first. Hoashi also had six 1-2-3 innings and once retired 12 straight batters between the 4th and 8th innings.
