Hanshin Tigers

...Masashi Sajikihara set a new NBP record when he appeared in his 115th straight game without a loss on Monday against the Yokohama Bay Stars.

...Tomoaki Kanemoto became the 8th player in the NBP to strike out at least 1,500 times over his career.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Yoshinori Tateyama was taken off the active roster on Monday due to tightness in his back.

Orix Buffaloes

...The Buffaloes announced earlier today that Jon Leicester will be returning to the States tomorrow to get his right shoulder tested.  He'll likely return to the team on October 1st.

Rakuten Eagles

...The Eagles are apparently 9-4 when 20,000+ fans crowd into Kleeenx Stadium.

Seibu Lions

...Hideaki Wakui's next start will likely come on the 27th against the Rakuten Eagles.

Yakult Swallows

...Fans are not pleased with their team this year.  Some 200 fans waited outside the clubhouse for about 40 minutes and shouted out things like "Takada should quit!" and "Come on out Takada!"

Ryota Igarashi popped out and apologized to fans in an attempt to make them disband.

Yokohama Bay Stars

...Shuichi Murata returned to the active roster on Monday and was about 4kg lighter.

"I was a little overweight," Said Murata.  "I've gotten hurt twice this month so I just started thinking little more about what I could do to keep my body in better condition."

Yomiuri Giants

...The Giants' Magic Number is now 3.

...The inflammation in Seth Greisinger's right elbow hasn't gone away and it seems as though the Giants will hold off on adding him back to the active roster for the series against the Chunchi Dragons that began today.
