Around the NPB Horn: Marines lose Iguchi to fractured left radius

Chiba Lotte Marines

...Tadahito Iguchi had his left wrist tested on Wednesday and was diagnosed with a fracture in his left radius (左橈骨の骨折). The bone will likely require at least 6 weeks to heal.

Chunichi Dragons

...The Ni-gun Chunichi Dragons became the Western League Champs on Wednesday when second place Hanshin was beaten by Softbank, 5-3.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Eiichi Koyano hurt his left shoulder while trying to make a play on a foul ball in the 5th inning.  He was later removed from the game in the top of the 6th.  Koyano iced the shoulder and did not go to the hospital -- the team will see how he holds up.  Koyano was in so much pain that he couldn't lift his arm up.

Rakuten Eagles

...The Eagles are now just 1 game behind the Softbank Hawks.

Seibu Lions

...In 13 games since returning from a leg injury, Takeya Nakamura has hit 6 home runs.

Softbank Hawks

...Shota Ohba lost another start on Wednesday and has not been able to pick up a victory in 12 starts this season.  The Hawks later announced that they will be removing Ohba from the rotation and will move Tsuyoshi Wada into his spot.

Yokohama Bay Stars

...Ryan Glynn picked up his 15th loss of the year on Wednesday against the Hanshin Tigers -- his poor performance this season is jeopardizing his chances for a contract renewal for the 2010 season.
