Kansai Independent League officials held a press conference on Thursday to announce a proposal that will see player salaries will drop from 200,000yen a month to 80,000yen plus performance bonuses. Salaries will also be paid out between March and September, a drop from 9 months to 7 months.
Performance bonuses will be determined by individual clubs. League-wide bans on part-time jobs have also been lifted in favor of each club deciding what's best for their players.
Right now, the league is most concerned about whether or not the players will go along with these new proposals.
