...The Hawks announced that Akihiro Yanase had surgery on his right elbow to remove bone spurs (右ひじ関節の骨棘切除) and will require about 4 weeks for a full recovery.
...Tadashi Settsu was found to have a fever today and was given the day off; tests for the swine flu virus came up negative. He is listed as day-to-day and will rejoin the team when he's ready to pitch again (he did not accompany the team to Sendai today).
