Hanshin Tigers

...Tomoaki Kanemoto became the 10th player in NPB history to collect 400 doubles in his career.

Kanemoto collected his 399th and 400th doubles against the Yakult Swallows on Tuesday night (both off Yoshinori Sato).

...Tomoyuki Kubota started at Ni-gun practice game on Tuesday against Orix and tossed 5 innings while giving up an unearned run on 2 hits.  Kubota will likely continue to work out at Ni-gun as a starter, although it's entirely possible he gets called up to help bolster the pen.

...The top members of the Tigers' front office (Club President Minami, General Manager Numazawa, Organizational Head Kuroda, and Vice General Manager Takano)  got together at the team hotel on Tuesday to hold a "Top Meeting."  No word on what they discussed, but in all likelihood, it including talks on their plan of attack during the upcoming draft and the direction the team will be heading moving forward.

...Depending on how they are used, Ikuro Katsuragi, Atsushi Fujimoto, and Wei-Chu Lin could all end up getting some playing time during the upcoming Phoenix League to keep their bodies in game-ready shape.

Orix Buffaloes

...Hideo Nomo's run as a technical advisor will end at the end of the season.

Rakuten Eagles

...Takeshi Yamasaki became the 7th player in NPB history to collect 150 home runs with more than one club (2; 185 Dragons and 150 Eagles).  He also became the oldest player to collect 100 RBIs in a season.

Yomiuri Giants

...Alex Ramirez now has three consecutive seasons of 180+ hits.  He joins players like Ichiro and Norichika Aoki as players that have accomplished the feat.
