Chiba Lotte Marines

...Satoru Komiyama picked up a save in his very last game of his career.  At 44 years and 21 days, he's also became the oldest player in the NPB to record a save, surpassing the previous mark of 41 years and 2 months set by Masahiro Yamamoto in 2006.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...In celebration of the Fighters guaranteed first place Pacific League finish, Nippon Ham will begin nationwide specials on 30 of the meat products, beginning on the 7th.

Seibu Lions

...The Lions announced that they won't be offering contract extensions to Hiram Bocachica and John Wasdin for the 2010 season.

Softbank Hawks

...Nobuhiko Matsunaka sat down with manager Koji Akiyama to talk about the pain in his right knee.  It appears that both sides agreed surgery should be the next step Matsunaka takes.  The only question that remains now is the timing.

...Ken Takahashi returned to Japan on the 6th.  Takahashi has not decided what he will do next, but it does appear as if he's leaning on trying out for the Majors again next year.

"The batters are really power.  I'm glad I decided to go. ... I knew if I applied everything I learned in Japan that I'd be ok. ... I have regrets about not being able to throw more, so I'd like to take up the challenge [of playing in the Majors] again."
