...The Marines hired former Ham Fighters' Ni-gun battery coach Kiyoshi Yamanaka to be their new Ichi-gun batter coach. The team assigned Yamanaka the number 74.
...Yoshikazu Kura will be staying with the Carp for at least another season.
Kura signed a 1-year deal worth 30M yen plus bonuses.
"I decided to stay the minute they said that they needed me. I spent 12 years here and they helped me develop so I'd like to stay here and put up some results," said Kura.
...Saturday was the first day of Fall camp for the Buffaloes and about 400 fans showed up to watch.
Fall camp at Kobe will run until 11/20.

"I'd like to finish out my career here," said Nishiguchi.
Y. Ishii didn't seem quite as committed saying, " It's a first so I'd like to sit down with my family and talk about it." Y. Ishii just recently earned his FA option this year.
...The Lions announced on Saturday that Ni-gun manager Shinsaku Katahira won't be returning to the team next season.
