It's already been mentioned in the presses, but Katsuya Nomura just confirmed it during a live news information program called Journal! (ジャーナる！) on Fuji TV.
According to what he said, it appears his new job will be to help develop the younger players on the team.
When asked if he would try to work with new manager Marty Brown, Nomura laughed and said that he'd probably avoid him because he can't speak any English and would just get frustrated at not being able to communicate to him properly.
Nomura also said that he'd accept any managerial job offers that might come his way.
