It appears as though Yu Darvish is currently working towards making a "surprise" game 2 start.
At the time being, Brian Sweeney has been penciled in as the game 2 starter, pushing Keisaku Itokazu, Tomoya Yagi, and Shugo Fujii to games 3, 4, and 5 respectively. If Darvish can start, he'd pitch game 2 at the Sapporo Dome.
Darvish spent most of his time playing catch and running sprints during practice yesterday (10/30).

"I really don't know," said pitching coach Yoshii. "If Darvish is feeling alright, he might be able to make one start. In the end, it's up to the manager, the chief trainer, and Darvish to talk it out [and decide]."

Another update from Sponichi:
"I really don't want him to pitch, but [the team's] not in a position to say that," said Yoshii. "I think Darvish is only at about 50% right now..."
