Hanshin Tigers

...The Tigers announced that they will not offer contracts to Jeff Williams and Scott Atchison.

Williams underwent surgery on his left shoulder, prompting the Tigers to worry about his future health.  In another news report, Williams apparently said that he would still like to return to the Tigers and that he'll try against in 2011.

Atchison earlier stated his desire to stay in the US so that he can be closer to his family.

The Tigers also announced that they will not offer contracts to Aarom Baldiris (INF) and Kevin Mench (OF).

Softbank Hawks

...Sadaharu Oh's uniform number during his 3-day coaching period at Fall camp (which ended on Friday) was number 89.  Oh spent most of his time helping younger players with their hitting.

Yakult Swallows

...The Swallows announced that Kenichi Matsuoka's surgery to clean out his right elbow was a success.

...The Japan Pro Baseball Players Association announced on Friday that they will be holding an event called "World Catch Ball Classic in Ohita" on 12/13 at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.

Ten NPB players from Ohita (Teppei from the Eagles, Seiichi Uchikawa from the Bay Stars, and Munenori Kawasaki from the Hawks to name few) will be attending the event.  Fans that attend will be treated to talk shows and a chance to play catch.
