Seung-Yeop Lee free to try out for Majors but likely won’t

Seung-Yeop Lee signed a 4-year deal three seasons ago.  The contact he signed included a clause that would allow him to break out of the contract should the Giants win a championship.  Now that the Giants have won that championship, Lee is basically free to try out for the Majors.  But according to his comments from last night, it appears he will stay with the Giants for at least one more season.

"I want to play [with the Giants] a little more," said Lee.  "That's the way I'm feeling right now."

Based on his numbers over the last 2 seasons, it's probably in his best interest to stay put.  Throw in the fact that he turns 34 next year and you have a player that isn't quite as marketable as he used to be.
