Giants send Manabu Iwadate to Fighters for cash

The Yomiuri Giants are sending 28-year-old infielder Manabu Iwadate to the Nippon Ham Fighters for cash considerations.
The Fighters are looking to bolster their middle infield after having problems filling the shortstop position with a healthy body during the Nippon Series -- Makoto Kaneko was unable to play because of an Achilles injury and Tomohiro Nioka also wasn't 100% with problems in both thighs.
