This really isn't news, but I got a nice little chuckle from it.
As most people who have followed Yuki Saito know, he earned the nickname Handkerchief Prince in high school because he used to wipe his sweat on the mound with a handkerchief. In reference to that, Sho Nakata made a brief attempt at being funny:
Was it handkerchief? Or bath towel?
Nakata then called him out (in a friendly sort of manner, I'm guessing) by saying:
He might be the top amateur player right now, but I'm in the pros.
The irony there, of course, is that both players struggled this season: Saito didn't have a very good Fall and Nakata was limited to just 38 plate appearances at Ichi-gun (although he did quite well at Ni-gun).
