Comments from Marty Brown's press conference on Wednesday (via Sanspo):

Your feelings right now...

There were a lot of ups and downs this past season, but I'll do my best moving forward.  The Eagles had a solid season this year, my job will be to make this team stronger.

Your impressions of the Eagles...

They have a lot of players with skills.  They have two of the best Pacific League starters.

You have a lot of experience with Japanese baseball...

There was a time I had some difficulties adjusting to the culture in Hiroshima.  I won't be using a Japanese style or a US style...  I'm going to try and create a Rakuten style.

You've been ejected from quite a number of games.  Your base-throwing performances have been well-documented...

I'll do whatever I need to in order to support my players.  Bottom line though, the players are the central focus.  Certain actions shouldn't be highlighted over one another.

Any pressures from following Katsuya Nomura...

I have respect for him as a fellow baseball man.  And I'm honored at the opportunity to continue where he left off.

Your impressions of Sendai...

The stadium is really nice and the fans seem really passionate.  I hope I can bring some more excitement [to Sendai].
