A few news and notes from the Owners Meeting that took place on Wednesday (11/18):
...Changes to the 1st round of the Climax Series were considered and discussed, but it appears they couldn't come up with a final decision.
They did, however agree on both the Central and Pacific League starting their seasons at the same time. The idea will be passed forward to an executive committee meeting.
...The owners came up with a proposal for international games to help provide more revenue for a league that will likely end up 300M yen in the red next year. The idea will now be presented at an executive committee meeting.
There are, of course, other things to consider, like timing, whether or not the JPBPA will agree, and possible injuries.
It was also officially announced that the Giants and Fighters each took into 410M yen and the NPB 790M yen for the Nippon Series.
