Chunichi Dragons

...The media has learned that Shinsuke Saito will be getting married to a Naho Satono (?).  The two will be holding a wedding ceremony in Kyoto on 12/19.  The two were introduced to each other by a mutual friend and have been dating since May 2007.

Hanshin Tigers

...Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi would like Akihiro Yano to be his catcher next season.

"I'd like to try and extend our record of the oldest battery mates by as much as possible.  It's the manager's decision, but I hope I'll be able to pitch with Yano behind the plate," said Shimoyanagi.

...The Tigers apparently aren't too pleased about Akinobu Okada talking about wanting Akihiro Yano.

Hiroshima Carp

...Eri Yoshida made a special guest appearance at Fan Appreciation Day.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Atsunori Inaba will be the team captain against next season.  It was announced suddenly during an interview after the team's parade on Sunday during a TV interview with Masataka Nashida.

Rakuten Eagles

...Eagles' players interacted with fans directly for most of the first half of Fan Appreciation Day.  They took pictures with fans, played catch, and played on the field with fans that attended.  In the second half, the Eagles split into two teams to play an exhibition game.  The East was managed to Hisashi Iwakuma while the West was managed by Teppei.  The West beat the East, 3-2.

Masahiro Tanaka's glove went for 180,000yen in an auction.

Seibu Lions

...Hiroyuki Nakajima will be the team captain next season.  An official announcement will likely be made at the team's final meeting of the year on the 26th.

Yakult Swallows

...Shigeru Takada is looking forward to the possibility of Atsushi Fujimoto joining the team.  He thinks it'll be good to have some competition at short for Keizo Kawashima.

...Shinya Miyamoto said that he'd like to bring a parade to Aoyama next season during a speech he made a Fan Appreciation Day on Monday.

...Yoshinori Sato hit 150km/h on the radar gun during the U-26 vs College All-Stars game on Sunday.  This despite throwing 1,000 pitches during Fall camp.

Yomiuri Giants

...Takuya Kimura made his last "active" appearance at Fan Appreciation Day on Monday to thank the fans for their support over the years.  Kimura retired after the season.
