Rakuten Eagles

...The Eagles held their final meeting of the year on Wednesday.

...Masahiro Tanaka and Teppei were given awards for their 2009 season during the final meeting of the year.

Softbank Hawks

...The Hawks announced that Daijiro Ohishi was selected to be the team's next head coach.

...Yusuke Kosai is working on building up his left arm during the off-season.

...Nagisa Arakaki tossed his first bullpen session on Tuesday since the middle of July.  Arakaki is trying to work his way back from inflammation in his right shoulder.  He tossed about 50 pitches during his bullpen session.

Depending on how he's feeling after his bullpen session, he may need to undergo surgery on his right shoulder.

...Most of the Hawks' players, including Kazumi Saito and Nobuhiko Matsunaka, will likely see drops in their salary while only a select few will likely see their salaries rise.

...Speaking of Matsunaka, he admitted on Tuesday that he might not be able to swing the bat at all during the off-season.  His goal right now is get healthy.

...Beginning this off-season, personal trainers will not be able to work with the players that hired them within the club confines.  New player rep Munenori Kawasaki will be working on trying to reverse the rule.

Other

...Yoshiyuki Kamei and Tadahito Iguchi received their Sayonara Awards on at a presentation ceremony in Tokyo today.  They were also given cash awards of 2M yen a piece.
