It appears as though the Balitmore Orioles might have some interest in Koji Uehara's former teammate, Hisanori Takahashi.
"Takahashi is an established veteran pitcher. We're currently taking a look at him with the idea of potentially signing him," said David Stockstill, Orioles' international scout. "The FA market is really slow right now, so chances are it's going to take some time before [Takahashi] gets some offers. He just needs to understand that he has to be patient right now."
Stockstill added, "We think there's a lot of good talent in Japan. There's a lot of pitchers here that can help us win."
And speaking of Takahashi, Hideki Matsui is wishing his former teammate good luck in his quest to get to the Majors. Matsui took Takahashi under his wing while the two were teammates with the Yomiuri Giants.
Matsui also joking told Takashi to keep his butt covered when he gets to the Majors.
Why would he say such a thing?
Well, Takahashi apparently has this little naked butt dance he likes to do and Matsui warned him that that kind of thing doesn't fly in the US.
