The Japan Future League has a new name: The Japan Future Baseball League.

The JFBL also announced that it will begin the 2010 season with just two teams, Mie and Osaka, and will play Inter-league games with teams from the Island League.  The 2010 season will be 54 games long (24 head-to-head matchups and 30 Inter-league games) and will run into early October.  The league is also considering playing a number of exhibition games against Ni-gun teams for a total of at least 60 games.
