...Yu Darvish was the recipient of the 2nd Annual Parenting Award on Tuesday.

Orix Buffaloes

...The Buffaloes re-signed Tetsuya Yokoyama to a contract worth 8M yen (up 2.5M yen).

...Orix is planning to keep tabs on So Taguchi over the phone.  Taguchi left for the States on the 30th.

Rakuten Eagles

...Hisashi Iwakuma isn't planning on letting his consecutive opening day pitcher streak end at three.  And with the season starting a little earlier (the season started on 4/3 this year but will start on 3/20 next year), Iwakuma plans on starting up his workouts around the same time he starting getting ready for the WBC.  He also has plans on heading off to Guam for training.

Softbank Hawks

...The Hawks re-signed Mu-Young Kim to a contract worth 8M yen (no change).

...Yuya Hasegawa was police chief for the day at Sawara Ward in Fukuoka Prefecture on Tuesday.

Yakult Swallows

...The Swallows re-signed Tatsuyoshi Masubuchi to a contract worth 12M yen (down 4M yen) on Tuesday.

...Ryusuke Morioka is getting married to a Yuki Murai.  The two were introduced to each other through a common friend in 2004 and had been going out since then.

Yomiuri Giants

...Club rep Hidetoshi Kiyotake on what he thinks about Shugo Fujii:
