Chunichi Dragons

...Kazuki Yoshimi put in a request to have his glove color changed from orange to dark blue at the Mizuno Advisor Staff Meeting on Friday.  His reason for changing gloves?

"I don't know if I'm tipping my pitches, but my plan is to try and make it more difficult to spot.  I'm sure they're all checking video of me, so I picked a color I thought would make it more difficult," said Yoshimi.

According to the NikkanSports article I've linked to, it's harder to pick things up with a blue glove than an orange glove.

...Kazuhiro Wada, Masahiko Morino, Hidenori, Kohei Oda, and Takashi Ogaswara held a baseball clinic at Asahi University in Mizuho City on Saturday.  About 130 elementary school kids showed up for the clinic that lasted about 3 hours and half.

...Kan Ohtake attend the Mizuno Advisor Staff Meeting on Friday and had a chance to talk to Kimiyasu Kudo.  Kudo advised Ohtake not to use up 100% of his energy in his starts but to try and conserve some energy (about 20% of it), so that he'll have enough strength to review what went right and what went wrong during his start the following day.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Speaking at an event taking place at an elementary school on Friday, and in front of about 1,000 fans, Atsunori Inaba said that he wants to record 2,000 hits in his career.  Inaba is currently sitting on 1,690 hits after hitting 150 this past season and needs 310 more for 2,000.  Based on his 3-year average (153.7), he'd probably pick up hit 2,000 in 2012.  He has one more guaranteed year on his contract with the Fighters, to go along with an option year.

Orix Buffaloes

...The Buffaloes will hold a press conference for newly acquired Hiroshi Kisanuki on 12/8 1:30pm at Skymark Stadium.

Seibu Lions

...Shogo Akada, Chikara Onodera, and 7 other players took part in a baseball clinic at Seibu Stadium II on Friday.  50 elementary school children showed up for the event that last more than 2 and a half hours.

...Yoshihito Ishii was police chief for the day in Kawagoe on Tuesday.  And Takumi Kuriyama was a highway traffic commanding officer for the day in Saitama.

Softbank Hawks

...Sho Iwasaki will be joining Hiroki Kokubo and Kazumi Saito in Arizona in January for training.

...Nagisa Arakaki has decided to wait a little longer before deciding whether or not to have surgery on his right shoulder.  It now seems likely that he'll make a decision some time within the next couple of weeks.

...Takahiro Mahara put in a request to modify the spikes on his cleats while at the Mizuno Advisor Staff Meeting on Friday.  His new spikes will be made of titanium, making his shoes about 15 grams lighter.  There will also be an extra spike near the heal to provide more stability.
