Koji Uehara wants to return to the rotation next season, but will obviously pitch where ever the Orioles put him.

Uehara has also started playing catch after tests on his elbow and thighs came back negative.

Hideki Matsui has apparently stopped including the number 55 in his signatures.

"I'm not number 55 any more.  I've stopped including it after I became a free agent," said Matsui.

Daisuke Matsuzaka won the MVP Award for his performance at the Yokohama Samurai vs Ibaraki Golden Golds game on Saturday.

The game ended in a 10-10 tie, but that was possible only because Matsuzaka hit a grand slam homer in the 9th with 2 outs.  For the game, he went 4-for-8 with 4 RBIs in the game.

Mastuzaka actually started the game batting in the 2 hole and playing second base.  He moved to the mound for the 7th and 8th innings and gave up a run on 4 hits and struck out 1.

About 5,000 fans showed up for the game.
