...The Marines re-signed Saburo to a contract worth 130M yen (up 30M yen) plus incentives.

Chunichi Dragons

...The Chubu Sports Reporters Club's Baseball Committee selected Kazuki Yoshimi as their MVP on Monday.  They also selected Kazuyoshi Tatsunami for their Special Distinguished Service Award.

Hiroshima Carp

...The Carp re-signed Eishin Soyogi to a contract worth 30M yen (down 5M yen).

...The Carp sunk 4.2M yen into a Phiten oxygen capsule.  They are the first NPB team to actually purchase an oxygen capsule, although not the first to take advantage of them.

The Tigers' Tomoaki Kanemoto actually owns one of his own.

Orix Buffaloes

...The Buffaloes re-signed:

Mamoru Kishida - 50M yen (up 18M yen) His uniform number will also change from 14 to 18.

Takeshi Hidaka - 76M yen (down 12M yen)

Ryota Katsuki - 33M yen (up 11M yen)

Seibu Lions

...The Lions re-signed Shogo Akada to a contract worth 40M yen (down 10M yen).

Softbank Hawks

...Yuichi Honda told reporters that he's planning to have surgery on his left ear on the 14th to combat his chronic inner ear problems.

"It varies from person to person, but there's a chance I won't be able to do any training from 1-2 weeks after the operation.  And because of that, I plan to do as much as I can beforehand," said Honda.

Yomiuri Giants

...The Giants introduced Yasunari Takagi to the media on Monday.  He also signed a contract worth 24M yen.
