Discussions on potential dates for the Asia Series that will open in Taiwan next season.
Tsuneo Horiuchi was selected to join the investigation committee for NPB rule violations, formerly occupied by Akinobu Okada.
The NPB has once again submitted a request to the Rakuten Eagles to add 6,000 more seat to Kleenex Stadium. Acting Eagles' owner Tomoharu Inoue said that the club will consider the request and try to figure out how best to approach the situation.
The Central and Pacific League held their board of directors meetings on Monday. They covered the following issues:
Hanshin Tigers' GM Shoji Numasawa will be the Central League board director next season; Tomoharu Inoue will be the Pacific League board director next season.
The Pacific League has decided that they will starting using video replays on questionable home runs calls beginning on opening day. The Central League has already decided on using video replays next season. Video replays will only be used at actual home stadiums. Home stadiums will be fitted with the necessary equipment during the off-season.
