...Masahiko Morino said that he wants to keeping working at third despite the possibility that he'll be shifted to first.  Morino finished the past season with a league-leading 25 errors at third base.

"I plan to only bring my third baseman's glove to camp.  I only intend to practice at third," said Morino. "Is this a matter of pride?  Yes."

Hiroshima Carp

...Takeshi Komatsu informed the media that he and a Misao Ifuku will be filing their marriage registration papers on the 9th and that the two have been living together since 11/26.  The two met at a Hosei baseball game: he was a first year pitcher and she was a cheerleader.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Kensuke Tanaka announced during a Pink Ribbon Charity Event that he will pay for 464 breast cancer examinations, or one examination for every out he made during the regular and post season.  That amounts to about 1.4M yen in breast cancer examination fees.

Tanaka will also donate the 565,300 yen he raised by auction off 13 items of his items, including a uniform that went for 100,000yen.

Yakult Swallows

...Yuhei Takai plans on taking at least 1,000 swings of the bat a day during the off-season.

...Both Aaron Guiel and Jamie D'Antona will likely return to the club next season.  The two players combined for 48 home runs and 163 RBIs.
