Chunichi Dragons

...Masahiko Morino's uniform number has been decided on 30, instead of the 31 he wore this past season, or the 3 he was present immediately after the season.

...The Dragons announced that they hired Eiji Shotsu, who retired from the Seibu Lions after this past season, to be a scout.

Hanshin Tigers

...Norihiro Akahoshi merchandise has been selling extremely well since he announced his retirement.  The demand has been so great that the Tigers will be producing some more items.  The Tigers will continue to sell Akahoshi merchandise through to the end of the year.

Orix Buffaloes

...Tomotaka Sakaguchi will have a new uniform number next year (52 > 9).

Sakaguchi will be attending a fan event on the 21st in Kobe where he plans on handing out presents to fans as a show of thanks for their support over the years.

Softbank Hawks

...It would seem Bum-Ho Lee will likely play either third or first next season.  And Munenori Kwasaki is planning on studying some Korean so that he'll be able to communicate with Lee better.

...Nagisa Arakaki tossed an 80-pitch bullpen session on Thursday.  He plans to toss a bullpen session every 4th day.

...The NPB announced that Ni-gun teams in the Western League will play a total 104 games (up 8) next year.  The goal is to match the 108 games the Eastern League plays.
