It appears the Hanshin Tigers are now targeting Casey Fossum. The Tigers are looking for some left-handed bullpen help and apparently feel Fossum has what it take to get batters out in Japan. They also like that he has experience as a starter.
Fossum bounced around a bit last season and ultimately tossed on 4 innings at the MLB level. The last time he threw more than 100 innings in the Majors during a season was back in 2006 when he racked up 130 innings of work with Tampa Bay.

According to current reports, if negotiations continue to go smoothly, an announcement of Fossum's signing could come some time this week.
