Hanshin Tigers now going after Casey Fossum?

by on Dec.13, 2009 @ 6:13 am, under NPB

It appears the Hanshin Tigers are now targeting Casey Fossum.  The Tigers are looking for some left-handed bullpen help and apparently feel Fossum has what it take to get batters out in Japan.  They also like that he has experience as a starter.

Fossum bounced around a bit last season and ultimately tossed on 4 innings at the MLB level.  The last time he threw more than 100 innings in the Majors during a season was back in 2006 when he racked up 130 innings of work with Tampa Bay.
